Cupeta

Ingredients for 4 people:

Cupeta

  • 100 gr. toasted and blanched almonds
  • 100 gr. sugar

Method

Dissolve the sugar in a saucepan on the stove with a little water. Turn continuously to prevent sticking or burning on the bottom. Dissolve the sugar, pour the almonds into the pot and stir vigorously so that all the almonds are covered with sugar.

Pour the mixture into a mold lined with parchment paper or a greased marble top. Squeeze a lemon on the almond mixture and start pounding the back of a spoon to give cupeta the traditional flat shape.

Once cooled cut cupeta into the desired shape.
